Here comes another lawsuit?!

Here comes another lawsuit?!

See that title, that's click bait right there.

And see that thumbnail i may or may not have stolen, that's created by the Olympic gold medal winner for well, maybe the world with that Data Slayer guy coming a close second depending on your view point.

( opinions are my own and not that of mpowered247 or any of its partners ) << insert legal line here mark!!

So yes lets be clear here, meshtastic, ripple, chatter box and all the other applications are not ready to be sent out into the world as a commercial product, in fact they are indeed software in development, as is the hardware you purchased - you did read that right? you didn't just watch a couple of YouTube videos titled " THROW AWAY YOUR IPHONE NOW" as this replaces it did you?  - ok you did... in fact so did i and thousands of others back in the day. The success and growth made it so popular that it caused a huge problem, namely congestion amongst other things. So whats the solution, well i have no idea but what i will say is..

The issues do have the development team at meshtastic working extra hard to find solutions, some of which are starting to appear already. I personally find it very hard to believe that no matter what the issues are with mesh networking that multimillion dollar companies are designing and building hardware for a piece of software that will never work, think about that. HUGE investment is going into this, mesh networking hardware that is.

I mean like Andy's video you can look at it two ways, Andy should be burnt at the stake as he made me buy meshtastic powered hardware and now hes saying its dead (thats a quote btw  ) or  look, this is actually exciting, more people are working on solutions to try and make this work, for everyone. You never know, a fresh set of eyes on this might give a different perspective and even help the meshtastic project.

The one thing i am very happy about is our personal choice of hardware supplier, but why? Well its simple, the WisBlock " base board"  we can supply can not only add modules for extra features to it but also we can change the output side of things if we need to so yes, you didn't purchase a dead duck here.  See, you got a RAKwireless starter kit for a reason you didn't even think of when you bought it!

We have a modular build system in our hardware - or Lego as i like to call it

Who knows who will win this battle of the software's but ones things for sure, meshtastic has a head start and for us, our kit will end up if not already running pretty much all of it - its kinda like, o2, Vodaphone and EE and so on, your phone works on any network..  well..

If that sounded like a sales gig then i apologise, but it is true none the less.

Make no mistake, all of this is being watched very closely by the hardware vendors, very closely as we all want a working product here, remember you are part of that development process and if that's not for you then ask me about our trade in deals... joking..

wonder if we should do a trade in model... hmm.

Enough of that.

The stock is here with us! and yes the first orders are on test and going through the test / quality control process. Shipping to your door step should start next week.

There is some sad news unfortunately, the solar enclosures well not sure what happened here but the boxes came without the solar panel?! So its like this, if you would like a full refund email me, done. I have spoken with our partners and the reorder is in place and going through the process, we expect them to land in the next 7-10 days with us. Therefore its a case of wait, or we refund you. Apologies, ill try to make it up to you guys by chucking something in your order by way of an apology.

Friday nights live stream on YouTube.. well we had fun there.. going through and doing weird unboxing of stuff felt like a odd ball unboxing video the yanks do, im sure i did it poorly but at least you saw the kit was real and it was in our hands. More importantly the banter from abusing Andy on his anti-meshtastic video was the communities favourite part from most of the feedback i got. Hopefully this blog goes some way to explaining it a bit better and everyone took it the right way. I think i should take a trip south and do meshtastic vs LRms ( toilet mesh name ) shoot out, and if we lose for some reason ill steal his camera to stop those pesky YouTube videos, that boy cannot be trusted :)

On another note we have been asked about supplying other off grid solutions, not communications. A pretty big player wants us to offer their kit for the off gird user? its not something we ever thought about, whats peoples thoughts on this? Promise you one thing, we wont ever offer rubbish kit or anything we haven't tried and tested ourselves. - I will keep you posted on this when i find out more.

Oh and its PRIME DAY.

Check the store out, Neil and Ben have no idea but im gonna do some prime deals on some of the kit on the store, take a look after reading this.

Thanks for reading this, community is still king.
