The First Meshtastic Device in the Maldives

The First Meshtastic Device in the Maldives

Now if you've been watching my latest YouTube video you'll be saying yes it is but you couldn't connect with anyone! unless it was via MQTT..  that's true but you have to start somewhere right.

This was our island ambassador who was very curios about meshtastic and wanted to know more, so he reckons this might just grow island to island and maybe he will get his own for when he goes back to Sri Lanka, either way its the start of growing the network in a place that relies on a single cell tower for all its communications.

Lots of testing went on and it can all be see on our YouTube channel, safe to say meshtastic works great with no interference and also not too many nodes.

The node is setup and running with the short name MALD and it has mpowered247.com in the long name... would be great to see it on a map somewhere.

Did anyone spot the nodes while airbourne then? 3 aircraft and also from Heathrow to Blackpool... ive yet to see how we got on pick up wise.

Store wise we are getting ready for another order, if you have something in mind that you think we should carry on top of our existing inventory then please drop me a message in the coming weeks.

Amazing the super node running the EcoFlow dela pro did survive the whole time we were away too! that battery is a monster and hopefully some progress with the solar setup will be coming this week - once recovered from the holiday of course! Also project "Map the Mesh" is being worked on hard by Alan and soon enough im hoping we will be operation in the solar powered super node shed thingy..

Oh and finally updating the Yagi Rak setup in the loft via Bluetooth killed it... not sure why but im getting some errors now... ill stick to doing it via USB next time! maybe i should listen to Alan more..

That's it for now!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to all our free map users, we stil love you and our still works :)
