To be exact in the back helping a patient while the tech came off the roundabout a little sideways due to slightly slippery conditions.

14 years later you don't expect one of you business partners to end up in a situation that needs a bus like this, not at our "age" surely. 

Anyways good news Neil's not snuffed it. It was a mere "blip" and now hes back to sending out all the meshtastic goodies you've ordered and catching up with our outstanding stuff that's owed.

Its been pretty busy and i will be the first to admit we were a little behind, and yes neils "episode" didn't help. We have also had issues with Royal Mail and things not getting to their destination- WHY ROYAL MAIL WHY?

For the first time ever tonight i have issued a refund, Royal Mail appears to have lost some bits of kit. This upsets me a lot, from a customer service point of view its bad. So best thing to do here is send another unit and issue a full refund. We are fundamentality people of our word.  If that kit turns up, its yours. Free of charge.

That was painful ( no more sick leave for you Neil )

 

Moving swiftly on.

A few people have had issues with the starter kits "resetting" after a battery is allowed to go flat, solar jobs mainly. I have had this myself and spent alot of time testing my three RAKwireless solar nodes and talking with our technical team and the ones at RAK HQ. Everyone was convinced this was a meshtastic firmware issue with the current firmware's. And.... well it is. Tried and tested, after installing different firmware's we found that the older ones simply work. This has been added to the many ongoing fixes that the meshtastic guys are working on so watch this space and give them a break, its a big job they have.

2.4 Has gone beta... now if your not on this already you should be! It works, no really. Yes you have to watch congestion and duty cycle and hop counts but if your sensible it does actually work! - remember use case scenario is king so that's not a guarantee for the planet. This is BETA and ALPHA software remember!

Anyone seen Alley Cats video on YouTube of the DJI Drone node holder yet? Im famous in that one for asking her to make one... and it looks awesome. Mr 3Dchicken.co.uk has hopefully printed it and it should be on its way to me... looking forward to a RAK node with a Blade antenna at height!

Ive spoken to some people and i will be planting the first meshtastic node EVER in this country..... 

 

The super node is running at the moment in my window, yes its a heltec and my electricity is getting a battering but i bought myself a big boy RAKwireless fibreglass antenna to try out - this will go on the summer house eventually. Keep an eye out for XMSN or  mpowered247.com super node
